All vehicles have sleeper cabs enabling us to carry cargo to every destination across the United Kingdom.

John Reid Trucking understands that all freight is not within profile of the pallet definitions therefore are very adaptable to any sized or weighted cargo.

General Distribution

Our varied fleet of 37 vehicles operate nationwide providing an excellent service on all deliveries.
We offer dedicated vehicles for the one off job to the long term contracts, shared user and same day options for all types of non hazardous freight. With a very willing and reliable crew of driver's tail lift and handball deliveries can be catered for.

Overnight Pallet Distribution

Alongside our nationwide delivery service we are a member of Palletways Uk offering a next day delivery service throughout the United Kingdom with the option for a specified delivery option such as timed deliveries. Also for the less urgent freight there is the Economy option of a two day service throughout the United Kingdom.

There are three pallet options.

They are as follows:
 
Full Pallet:
1.2m x 1m x 2m
Maximum weight 1200kgs
Half Pallet:
1.2m x 1m x 1m 
Up to 600kgs
Quarter Pallet:
1.2m x 1m x 0.m 
Up to 300kgs
 
 
 

Each consignment is given a unique reference number enabling the consignment to be tracked giving an accurate time of arrival, unloading and signature time.

Through the Network we can also offer a complete Irish service that is fast, reliable and very competitive on rates.

International Service

We are also able to offer competitive rates for cargo to all international destinations.

Warehousing

John Reid Trucking has a modern warehouse facility to offer storage and space for the handling packing and distribution of finished products and raw materials all over the country.

We are around 15miles from the busy port of Immingham and 5 miles from the industrial town of Scunthorpe. Close enough to receive freight into our warehouse but far enough away to be free of the dust that accompanies the docks and the steel works.

Storage is charged dependant on the size, weight and stackability of the product.
